Five years ago, The Bronze Suite was built on a simple belief. That the right people, in the right room, at the right moment, can change everything. This June, we take that belief to Paris. Not as tourists. Not as observers. But as a community that understands what African and diasporic creativity has given the world, and that is ready to celebrate it on the grandest stage possible. Wednesday, June 24th
Welcome Reception
The Bronze Gathering begins the way all great things do, with people finding each other. Tonight is unhurried and intentional. A first evening in Paris designed to ease you in, connect you with your community, and set the tone for what is ahead.
Thursday, June 25th
An African fashion exhibition unlike anything presented before on this scale. This is the story of a generation of designers who emerge from the diaspora, a creative superpower whose influence on global fashion has always been undeniable, even when it went unacknowledged. From the continent to the Caribbean, from West Africa to the American South, the diaspora has shaped the world’s aesthetic from the inside out. This exhibition centers that truth. Cities like Lagos, Dakar, and Johannesburg now sit alongside Paris and Milan as pillars of global fashion. We will walk through it together, and we will know exactly what it took to get here.
An intimate cabaret with Crystal Petit at L'Échappée, a hidden address in the heart of le Marais known only to those who know. Crystal has graced Carnegie Hall, toured alongside some of France’s biggest names, and spent over two decades at the heart of Parisian musical life. Tonight she performs a rare solo concert, songs from the world of Diana Ross, the timeless poetry of Dionne Warwick, the architecture of Burt Bacharach. Fifty seats. One night. Paris as it should be experienced: up close, unscripted, and unforgettable.
Friday, June 26th
A premier African fashion runway show presented under the patronage of President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic, in partnership with Balenciaga, the Galeries Lafayette, and the Istituto Marangoni. One of Paris’s most iconic cultural institutions, steps from the Eiffel Tower on the banks of the Seine, becomes the runway for an evening that places African fashion exactly where it belongs.
